Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within the afterlife, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain threads emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show means there's a lot of it just inherently. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they could be shocked at how quickly season 2 moves, and how many of what they're anticipating happens now.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing reveals, some fascinating backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
